In Illinois, the profession specifically forbids the use of the term "specialization" (except in Patent, Copyright and Admiralty Law). Attorneys are, however, allowed to concentrate in various fields of law.
At Urban & Burt, Ltd., each attorney concentrates in related areas of the law in which the firm practices to offer the client the efficiency and expertise that such concentration permits.
Care is taken, however, not to become, as in some larger law firms, so concentrated in a particular field that interrelationships of areas of law are overlooked when analyzing and solving legal problems. In these areas of emphasis in which the firm practices, we process all our own trial and appellate work in both the Appellate and Supreme Courts.
